Northeast Region Noyce Scholars Conference, Cambridge, MA, Friday, October 12. Penny will give the keynote address, entitled, “Inspiring the Next Generation: Grand Challenges in Mathematics and Science.”
Find Lexicon and meet Penny at the Boston Book Festival, 10 am-6pm, October 27, Copley Square, Boston, MA. Come to the booth of Tumblehome Learning, and find Lexicon Adventure books along with Tumblehome’s collection of science adventure tales. go home with great books, science kits, and stocking stuffers.
November 2012
CoCoSTEM Kickoff, Friday, November 28, Denver, CO. Penny will attend this kickoff event of a new collaborative of groups working to increase the success of girls and women in science and engineering in Colorado. Penny will help lead a breakout session on evaluating after-school science programming for girls. She is also arranging school visits around this time.
